Hi Students and Parents,
We have been so busy in class this past couple of weeks! We are working on learning testing and reading strategies in both ELA and GA Studies. In ELA, we'll continue reading "A Wrinkle in Time" and answering important questions about the plot as it develops as we read. Additionally, we will be adding to our vocabulary new words that we find in the story. Spelling test on Friday!
Last week in Georgia Studies we completed biographs of Hernando de Soto and sang the 13 colonies! We've had a great time learning. This week, we'll continue working on our reading while we read about important people such as James Oglethorpe, Mary Musgrove, and Chief Tomochichi. Parents and students please read the "nightly reading" that we send home each night. Parents, please sign these to show that your child is reading at home.
