Hello,
This week we will continue our preparation for the CRCT! Our weekly spelling test and vocabulary test will be on Monday. Students will have another test on Friday in spelling only. Please visit Spelling City and other links on this page to study your vocabulary. We will continue to review grammar and reading strategies for reading informational text. Additionally, we will devote some time in class each day to test questions in standardized format.
In Georgia Studies, we will continue with standardized test practice covering all topics we have discussed this year while moving forward to finish other topics. We will continue learning about the impact of WWII on Georgia and the USA. We will read about NATO and the condition of Georgia and the USA following this time. Students are encouraged to read Georgia's Encyclopedia and watch videos at History.com. You can find these links below. Our test is on Tuesday for this unit. We will move forward to discuss the Civil Rights Movement.
This month is Women's History Month! Read all about it and watch videos below,
Parents, please come to visit our classroom if you have the time. Encourage students to read at home with you.
Best Wishes,
Mrs. Pastor
