Hello Students and Parents,
This week in Language Arts, we will be examining literary elements as we continue to read "A Wrinkle in Time". Students should be finishing the book by Friday and taking AR tests. Spelling and Vocabulary tests are on Friday. Week 7 VOCABULARY: plot, climax, setting, theme, falling action, rising action, protagonist, antagonist, exposition, conflict, and resolution. SPELLING:
This week in Georgia Studies we will be studying more about the colony of early Georgia. We will study how people lived during those times and practice reading strategies and notetaking as we explain the development of Georgia as a royal colony with regard to land ownership, slavery, government, and the impact of the royal governors. We'll begin discussions about the French and Indian War and other causes to the American Revolution.

Picture Day is October 8th. NO SCHOOL on October 25th this month. Keep reading your AR books and study vocabulary, spelling, and reading practice sheets every night!
